Lana Del Rey asked fans to help her track down her vape while performing at her first concert in three years.
The singer is performing a string of concert dates this summer, including headlining the Other stage at Glastonbury Festival and playing at BST Hyde Park in July.
On Saturday (28 May), Del Rey performed at the MITA Festival 2023 in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, marking her first concert set since November 2019.
During the performance, the 37-year-old donned a Marilyn Monroe-inspired blonde wig for a set involving both her older songs and tracks from Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, which she released earlier this year.
Mid-set, Del Rey’s band began performing the title track from her 2019 album Normal F***ing Rockwell, with the singer asking the crowd: “And also if you see my vape on stage, can you find my vape on stage?”
A fan appeared to have spotted Del Rey’s e-cigarette in the front of the crowd, causing the “Summertime Sadness” singer to run forward and respond: “You did? Where, though? Oh, all the way in the pit?”
However, upon realising the item was out of reach, Del Rey gave up, turning around and telling the crowd: “F*** it.”
Del Rey is often seen holding a vape, with producer Jack Antonoff previously saying in an interview that you can hear the singer’s “vape sucking in and out” on the song “White Dress” from her 2021 album Chemtrails Over the Country Club.
Last week, Del Rey’s father Rob Grant waded into the discourse around celebrity nepotism as he prepares to release his debut album in June.
Grant, 69, said that he was “happy to be the first nepo daddy”, in contrast to the name “nepo baby” often given to celebrity offspring.
